Why did we build Askify?
How often is the case when we get on the web to learn but end up wasting too much time?
How many times on youtube we were seriously learning something but then a recommendation just drifts us into a rabbit hole?
Or on Twitter, when we were there to find wisdom from people we admire but end up in a meaningless spat.
Although Youtube, Twitter contains gems of knowledge, they are built for engagement not learning
And even sometimes when we get focussed and are ready to learn, we end up learning from people who themselves don't have any thorough understanding of the topic especially on topics that can't be standardized or measured efficiently.
This problem further is being amplified every day because of so many content creators popping up now and then, Anybody now with a camera and mic can be an advisor and a teacher. There is no credibility and authenticity.
That's why we have come up with Askify - A Highly curated space of learning from talented individuals.
How are we approaching the problem?
First, we have picked thought leaders such as Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and made their talks, conversation, and speeches searchable to the exact minute and to make it more useful we have made whole searching semantic i.e you can type a phrase, question, and not just keyword. It's like they are your friends, Ask them anything.
Second, using this search we pick topics/questions that are important to us and are making Playbooks that contain key ideas from multiple leaders revolving around a Question/Topic and is very much consumable. Think of the experience as a mix of Facebook watch and Instagram Guides filled with wisdom.
And finally, Collections - which contains multiple playbooks resonating with the same topic and essence. eg. How to do a startup will contain playbooks on getting ideas, what to do in college, and that too from multiple leaders.
How the problem is being solved?
At the start itself, we are picking talented individuals who are very much known in their fields hereby establishing the credibility of information.
Authenticity is established by design as videos contain the leader speaking themselves, in the case of tweets and essays we display the original Twitter link and URL.
All you have to do is to pick a topic of interest and the whole platform will help you in learning that. There is no distraction.
